Tough conditions marked the second round.
Unpredictable weather required quick
thinking from Rhalf.
The track changed from wet to dry so many times we lost count, it was
a real challenge...and as if that wasn't enough,
2 front tyre warmers burned out prior to the qualifying session...
Despite these tricky circumstances, the qualifying
session was a success with Rhalf securing
second position in his class. During the first race, Rhalf had an
outstanding start and jumped to second place overall,
taking first position in his class.
He led the race for the first few laps but lost
a position and finished in second.
The first race on Sunday didn't go well. Due to uncertain weather
conditions and a last minute change of tyres, Rhalf
missed the warm up lap and had to
start from the back of the grid.
To make matters worst, he was on dry tyres but the track was still wet
in places causing him to lose control and
fall off his bike on a slow corner. Luckily
very little damage was done but he was
forced to abandon the race.
The second race of the day had much better
results. Rhalf had an excellent start
pushing him up to first in his class (second
overall) and finishing the race in second.
Overall things are looking really good for Rhalf. The rider
who took first place in both races was a wildcard
- invited to take part in this round only
meaning he walked away with the first place
cup, but no points. Despite Rhalf coming
second, he earns top points and is still
leading the championship by a good margin.
Well done Rhalf ...
