Three Races... one winner, but it
wasn't a walk in the park. The free practice
on Friday already posed new challenges for Rhalf: heavy rain and a new shock absorber. Nevertheless
after adjusting the suspension, the bike was
handling well for those circumstances.
The first qualifying session was a success
with Rhalf finishing on pole, but the bike
wasn't handling well due to the change in
weather conditions. More adjustments where
required for the second qualifying session
and the problems escalated when the chain
snapped during the second lap resulting in him abandoning the session. However Rhalf had
done enough to secure pole in his category.
He then went on to win the first race of the
season in style, ending Saturday on a high !
Sunday demanded a lot of the riders by
extend the 2 races by 3 laps. The First Race
was tough. On the first lap Rhalf was almost
taken out by another rider but managed to
maintain first position. He retained a good gap between him and his
rival, but on the last laps this had narrowed
considerably and Rhalf went on to win the race by a bike
length. A race not for the weak-hearted !
The second race was difficult, but with a
great start and his main rival out on the
sixth lap, Rhalf won the race with a 16
second gap. Not bad at all !
Great start for the season...
GO Rhalf GO...
